Fine Art Prints
Images not included in the descriptions above we'll call "Fine art" (the photographer's not-so-humble ego considers all images presented in this website as Fine Art). Gallery images you see in this website are available upon request. Framed or unframed images are available and vary in price depending on size.
Technical
Equipment used are SLR Nikon-based digital cameras (17-30, 24-70, & 80-200 mm lenses, D3 and D700 bodies). I find that for 90 percent of my shots, the D3 provides phenominal low-light capabilities, enabling me to use ambient light versus flash.
Landscape images taken with 4x5 view camera (Tachihara, 90 & 120 mm lenses) predominantly using Fuji Velvia film. The 4x5 is the antithesis of the digital photographer's immediate gratification: a lesson in set up, patience, and need for meticulous detail throughout the process.
Images are processed using selected software (iPhoto, Photoshop CS3), and webdesign and editing using Dreamweaver CS3. Additional galleries use smugmug hosting web service and albums created using blurb. For the record, its a shame that website developers are not valued for their time (and paid accordingly)...as some know, there is much more behind a website then meets the eye (after days and weeks of frustrating diddling with Dreamweaver's endless options).
